Cristina’s Bed and Breakfast to Kennebunkport
Only 20 minutes south, Kennebunkport is home to George H.W., Barbara Bush, and their entourage when in residence. Their home at Walker’s Point, a Bush Family name, is one of the area’s destinations for visitors regardless of the time of year. This part of K’Port has mansions and homes that rival those in Newport, Rhode Island. During the summer months, locals and tourists are often treated to the former president fishing with family and guests – Bill Clinton and son George W. and their families have been spotted on numerous occasions. The areas golf courses have hosted similar personages.
Dining is also an experience whether you’re eating at The Landing Restaurant, Windows on the Water, or Allison’s, a favorite of ours. Captain Jack’s, the local brewer of Shipyard Ale, is a fantastic way to enjoy a burger and have a great, locally brewed beer at Maine and gaze at the yachts that are moored in the harbor. The views are spectacular from the bluffs at Walker’s Point. On a clear day one can almost see Portugal a mere 3,000 miles to the East!
Though Kennebunkport is close by, we recommend the quiet beauty of Camp Ellis Beach. Welcome to Camp Ellis Beach. Welcome to Cristina’s Bed and Breakfast in beautiful Saco, Me! Your Maine bed and breakfast vacation gateway!

Cristina’s Bed & Breakfast is located in Camp Ellis Beach, Saco, Maine.
Camp Ellis is one of the only working fishing villages left in Southern Maine. It is located at the end of the Saco River and overlooks Saco Bay, the largest bay in the state of Maine. When you are here at Camp Ellis, many will say that they experience a little time warp, as if it echoes of the golden days gone by. Many visitors feel this as they sit on the porch here at Cristina’s looking out towards Saco Bay. They will hear the rumble of a fishing boat, a sea gull crying as they fly by, and smell the crisp and salty air.
Each day, fishermen and lobster men go out early from the pier at Camp Ellis. It is exciting to see the lobster boats come into port at the pier. If you’re lucky enough you’ll see one of the lobster men haul their pots filled with lobster. They work hard at what they do and they are part of a long tradition on the Maine Coast. You might hear as they tell of an interesting moment out at sea and maybe they will hand you a gift; a large starfish or maybe a chic – a soft shelled lobster that you can take home and feast on. You can also get lobster right off the boat at cost.
Camp Ellis is at the southern tip of Saco Bay and it is part of the seven mile long sandy beach which is actually Maine’s longest sand beach. At low tide you can walk at first reach about 1.5 miles up the coast to the rocky tidal pools where you can wade in the water and be entertained while looking at nature’s wonders: hermit crabs, starfish, sea urchins, different colored sea algae, and, if you are lucky, you might find a sand dollar or some colored sea glass. At a higher tide Camp Ellis closes off because of rock walls along the beach and the beach becomes a private beach great for the immediate coastal homes in Camp Ellis. This is nice too because it isn’t too crowded. You can relax and hear the sound of the peaceful calm waves of the Bay.
At Cristina’s our guests can call up the lobster pound down the street at the Camp Ellis General Store to order a few lobsters steamed to go. You just give the owner’s the time you would like your lobster ready and they will be ready to go in a thermal bag, warm and ready. This is one of the best experiences and treats of living in Camp Ellis, Maine.
Don’t forget to head down to the Pier at Camp Ellis at sunset to experience the most beautiful sight on the North American shore. Maybe it is the crisp, clean air. But Camp Ellis at sunset is like a Monet sunset, a spectacular sight that should not be missed. Locals go down to the Pier to say good-bye to yet another beautiful day in Camp Ellis, Maine.

Welcome to Cristina’s Bed and Breakfast’s new website!
We’re proud and enthusiastic about the work involved and the quality of bringing our home into yours through modern technology. Cristina’s is the premier lodging facility in Camp Ellis Beach and we want guests, both old and new, to feel comfortable while enjoying the beauty of Saco Bay.
Over the winter months, we have renovated portions of our home while maintaining the Victorian charm: new windows in the appropriate, traditional style, new oriental-style carpeting, and kitchen updates. Of course, the grounds are constantly maintained and quality landscaping touches designed by Cristina beautify an already stunning panorama. With the advent of Spring, crocuses are already sprouting in the garden and we are looking forward to Cristina’s Gardens bursting into full bloom.
